Ingredients

  • ¼ cup coarsely chopped toasted nori strips
  • ¼ cup white sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup black sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup loosely packed bonito flakes ((fish flakes))
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp togarashi seasoning ((or ½ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper))
  • ¼ tsp granulated stevia

    In a spice grinder or coffee grinder, pulse the nori until ground but still slightly flaky (not powdered).

    Add the sesame seeds, bonito flakes, salt, togarashi, and stevia. Pulse until evenly combined.

    Store the furikake in an airtight spice container or jar for up to a month. Sprinkle over rice, veggies, or egg bowls for an instant flavor upgrade.
